The experience
A closer look at the journey.
The shift from a slow scenic train ride to the rugged Udaweriya highlands.
The journey is as compelling as the destination. Begin on the hill-country railway, watching tea estates and steep green slopes pass on the way to Ohiya. From there, the landscape opens into the remote Udaweriya valley.
Estate roads, village scenery and waterfall viewpoints give this full-day journey its adventurous character. The exact jeep route is chosen with local conditions in mind, leaving space to enjoy the highlands rather than rush through them.
